ASPEN, COLORADO (Post Time News)—Aspen Skiing Company raised the curtain on skiing and snowboarding movies for The Meeting presented by Nissan featuring a schedule clogged with action sport films from October 5-8, 2006. The lineup for the second annual event includes producers Poor Boyz Productions, Teton Gravity Research, Mack Dawg Productions, and Volcom Entertainment.  And a full slate of parties is also promised for the four-day confab.

“The Meeting had a perfect mix from the ski and snowboard industries,” said skier Seth Morrison. “It was the first event I have ever been to that was geared toward fun and I look forward to seeing more industry folks this fall. Working together and bringing more people to snow sports makes it better for all of us.”

SkiCo will host the 4th annual NEPSA Video and Art Awards Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at the Wheeler Opera House in downtown Aspen. This multimedia event offers athletes, filmmakers and artists from around the country an opportunity to showcase their talents. Athletes will create their own multimedia presentations using music, video, photography and other mediums. This year a prop will be used in each film—a Magic 8 Ball. A total prize purse of $3,500 will be awarded to the winners.

In its first year in 2005, The Meeting screened War from Poor Boyz Productions, Pop Yer Bottlez! from Poor Boyz Productions, The Bigger Picture, Paradox from Standard Films, The Tangerine Dream from Teton Gravity Research, The Community Project from 1242 Productions & The Community, and Shanghai Six from Level 1 Productions.
Here’s the full 2006 lineup, broken out by snowboarding and skiing films.
