Pogo BBQ Coming Soon ...

It felt like Christmas yesterday. When I arrived back home from a meeting, I saw an enormous package on the front step. There they were, my Flybars (both the 800 and 1200). These pogo sticks are my new obsession when skiing is out, and biking is in but takes a commitment. I quickly assembled them, and tried out the littler 800, which goes maximum 4 feet in the air. The 1200, aka monster, goes up to 7 feet. This bouncing is my new workout. I was winded after 2 minutes.

Flybars were designed by a MIT brainiac and look like rocket ships with their "thrusters" and "pistons." SBI Enterprises, the company that designed the first pogo in 1918, created these mega pogos. Being that the light was so amazing in Jackson Hole, friend Lynsey Dyer (pro skier/photographer) decided to take some shots. Here are a few from about two hours of pogoing. I'm shot.

This Saturday, my roommates and I are hosting a Pogo BBQ that is bound to be off the hook. Stay tuned ...
