Keystone Turns The Key

KEYSTONE, COLORADO (Post Time News)--Keystone is open for business.

"Thanks to more than two feet of new snow this month and efficient mid-mountain snowmaking,"Keystone Ski Resort moved up their season opening date to 9 a.m. on November 2, 2007, making it the first Vail Resorts Mountain to open in the country. 

This is a full week earlier than its initially scheduled opening date of November, 9, 2007.

The chairlift started turning for the public at 9 a.m. Friday, November 2 at Keystone with first turns on the intermediate trail of Spring Dipper and limited beginner terrain in the learning area located atop Dercum Mountain. All skier access and services will be provided in the River Run Village base area with lift access on the River Run Gondola and/or The Summit Express chairlift. The mid-mountain chairlift, Montezuma Express, and the Kokomo magic carpet will also be operating. To egress the mountain, skiers and snowboarders must download on the River Run Gondola (and/or The Summit Express chairlift) at the end of their ski/ride day.
